Non-Profit Organization Releases Free Crime Prevention Video for Businesses, Families
A violent crime in the United States occurs every 22 seconds; a rape every 5.8 minutes; and a murder every 34 minutes. With these crimes, as well as recent serial killings and terrorism, the American Council on Personal Safety (ACPS) has released a free, one-hour crime prevention video entitled “Protecting Yourself, Your Family, and Your Home”. The ACPS is a public service, non-profit organization that addresses personal safety issues.
The video covers life-saving topics such as: “The Criminal Wish List”; “50 Ways to Protect What is Important to You”; “Your Best Defense—a Trained Mind and Body”; and “The Truth About Crime in America Today.”
Robert Chesney, a member of the ACPS, says most crimes can be prevented if people know what to look for. “Americans have not been educated on what to do to prevent crime and safeguard themselves, their families and other innocent people. This video is part of a national educational effort to bring crime preventative skills to every American individual and family, as well as companies, community, civic and government groups.”
The new video is based on the crime prevention seminars that the ACPS provides on-site at no charge for businesses, civic groups, community centers and government offices throughout the U.S.
The video, also available in DVD, is available to individuals, businesses, civic groups and other organizations free of charge, with a nominal cost for shipping and handling. For more information, visit www.acps.us.
