North American Video Awarded New Contract at Foxwoods Resort
BRICK, N.J.
North American Video (NAV), a provider of integrated surveillance systems for the gaming industry, announces it has been awarded a $5 million contract for the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods expansion in Ledyard, Conn.
Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, is reportedly the largest casino in the world with over 340,000-square-feet of gaming floor space. The complex and its massive video surveillance installation was profiled in the September 2004 issue of Security Sales & Integration.
The contract for the MGM Grand expansion calls for NAV, which has provided its services to Foxwoods for more than 10 years, to design and implement a state-of-the-art digital video surveillance system from American Dynamics. The system will be integrated with access control, slot data and alarm systems.
The $700 million MGM Grand at Foxwoods project will add two million square feet of overall space to the resort, including a hotel, restaurants, gaming venues and convention resources. The new complex is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2008.
