Just a week after announcing an expansion of its West Coast facilities, integrator North American Video (NAV) has announced the opening of a new regional office in Horn Lake, Miss. The facility will serve the Southeast and is strategically located near the Memphis, Tenn., market.
The facility, to be managed by Michael Stark, will include a demonstration showroom, technical support and warehouse facilities.
NAV President Cynthia Freschi told SSI that her company is making a conscious effort to expand its facilities and capabilities with the goal in mind of providing complete service to NAV’s customers and not employing subcontractors to perform core installation work.
“If we are to put the North American Video name on a system, we feel it is important to have our own staff deploy it,” Freschi says. “Subcontractors have their place in general construction, but not in this highly technical and sensitive industry.”
NAV says the Horn Lake office, which will open Dec. 1, will allow it to better serve clients in the Gulf Coast who are in need of service and work following Hurricane Katrina – especially the gambling establishment customers that make up a large percentage of NAV’s work.
