BISMARCK-MANDAN, N.D. – A recent string of burglaries have prompted residents in Bismarck-Mandan to invest in home security systems.
Several electronic security installation businesses, such as Pacific Sound & Video, Green Light Systems and New Vision Security Systems, have reportedly experienced increased sales because homeowners are looking to add or boost security at their homes, KXNews reports.

Jamie Stephens of Pacific Sound & Video says the sale of surveillance systems has increased by 20 percent this year.
“I think it’s very important in this day in age and I think it’s more important with the technology we have and it’s so easy that people can do it themselves, there’s no reason not to have security,” Stephens told KXNews.
Security company representatives also note that do-it-yourself cameras are also becoming popular with homeowners in the area.
