HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — NSI Industries, a provider of electrical and control products, announces it has merged with the Newbury Park, Calif.-based Platinum Tools.
The company says the deal will expand its product portfolio and market reach, while creating new value for a wide range of customers.

Platinum Tools’ portfolio includes cable management solutions, structured wiring products, tester kits, cutters, crimpers and other products for electrical, industrial, security, audio/video, commercial, residential, datacom and telecom applications, which expands NSI’s market reach, according to the company.

Founded in 1997, Platinum Tools employs approximately 40 people and will continue to operate out of Newbury Park, Calif.
Platinum Tools’ products have earned accolades from SSI such as Top Tech Innovation in 2016 and 2018, and a Most Valuable Product (MVP) award in 2017, in addition to being named the top brand leader in the Tools & Testers category in sister publication CE Pro Magazine’s 2018 Brand Analysis report.
