NumereX Corp. announces agreements with Kentucky-based Appalachian Wireless, Leaco Cellular of New Mexico and Farmers Cellular Telephone in Alabama to use NumereX’s centralized service bureau, Data1Source(tm), which will provide Short Message Service (SMS) throughout the three companies’ coverage areas. “The Data1Source service platform provides wireless operators with an effective and affordable means of providing SMS services to its customers,” says Greg Hull, vice president of NumereX’s Wireless Internet Services division. “We are pleased to provide Appalachian Wireless, Leaco Cellular and Farmers Cellular Telephone with this centralized SMS solution.”
Data1Source proprietary and patent-pending technology can provide TDMA, CDMA and GSM wireless carriers with a broad range of services, including Web-based and E-mail-based text messaging, SMS touch-tone paging, subscriber-customized Internet content and over-the-air digital handset programming.
