NumereX Corp. announces the signing of an agreement through its subsidiary, Broadband Networks Inc., with Time Warner Communications of El Paso, Texas, to supply and support an interactive data and video system for the Socorro Independent School District (SISD). The agreement represents the continued expansion of a revenue sharing agreement announced earlier this year. The SISD project will supply high-speed data service to 22 sites for a period of 10 years.

“The success of the first two networks installed in Houston and San Antonio has provided a solid foundation for this further collaboration,” says Robert Madonna, executive vice president of sales and marketing for NumereX. “This strategic partnering arrangement with Time Warner Communications provides an excellent model for delivering an array of fiber-optic-based interactive services to the distance learning market.” Wim R. van den Berge, executive director of information systems for SISD, adds, “We have seen the success of this type of network in other areas and we look forward to running new leading-edge applications that will create a sense of community within our district and enhance our student curriculum.”
