NumereX Corp. announces that its subsidiary, Cellemetry LLC, has signed an agreement with Advanced Monitoring & Control Inc. to use Cellemetry(R) data service technology for cathodic monitoring of natural gas transport pipelines. Advanced Monitoring & Control has developed a low-power solution for monitoring the integrity of gas transport pipeline structures through the use of Cellemetry’s patented control channel technology. Information about cathodic protection, pressure and temperature are sent across the cellular network to personnel who can monitor the results from a centralized, Web-based location.
“We are pleased to provide Cellemetry’s wireless data transport capabilities for this new monitoring solution,” says Geoff Girdler, executive vice president of business development for NumereX. “Cellemetry’s extensive and cost-effective North American operational footprint coupled with a new and distinctive way to monitor gas pipeline structure brings an added dimension to operational management and environmental safety in the marketplace.” Cellemetry data service provides two-way, wireless data connectivity for a variety of machine-to-machine communications that remotely monitor, measure or track fixed and mobile assets.
