The New York Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NYBFAA) presented its annual President’s Award to John Lombardi, president of CIA Security and a past president of the NYBFAA at this year’s ISC East conference.

Tim Careen, NYBFAA’s current president, recognized Lombardi for his years of industry involvement, including: representing the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) committee for premise security; holding the position of co-chair for the CSAA education committee and on the CSAA executive board; and founding the Mid Hudson Alarm Association (MHAA) in Dutchess County, N.Y.

Creenan explained at the award presentation that Lombardi had refocused NYBFAA into a vital and active training association with a new executive director, active committees and a focus that now serves its members and industry with quality services.

Creenan added that “John’s vision of the future remains what it has always been:  education, involvement and commitment.”
