ObjectVideo Wins Defense Research Contract

RESTON, Va.
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has
awarded ObjectVideo™ a contract to research night vision
video surveillance technologies.

DARPA’s Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program
provides funds to early-stage research and development at
technology companies to develop technological breakthroughs
for the central research and development organization for
the Department of Defense (DoD).  ObjectVideo received the
STTR award in a competitive field where one out of eight
STTR proposals is funded.

“This kind of research is critical to the ongoing
development of advanced security tools and will feed
directly into the products ObjectVideo is making available
to a growing number of private and public sector
customers,” says Clara Conti, CEO of ObjectVideo.

ObjectVideo will team with academic experts to study
specific challenges related to tracking people and objects,
like vehicles at night, as they move from one camera view
to the next across a security system.
