RESTON, Va. – ObjectVideo has signed a global patent license with LILIN, a Taiwanese manufacturer of IP video cameras, recording devices and software for the video surveillance market.
The multiyear, royalty-bearing agreement applies to all LILIN IP cameras, recorders and software capable of performing video analytics.
“This patent license agreement with ObjectVideo will provide us with the flexibility to continue our strong focus on bringing new product development to the market moving forward,” says Steve Hu, senior product manager, LILIN.
“LILIN is the 20th licensee to join our program, a true milestone for our business,” says Chris Capuano, general counsel of ObjectVideo. “We are pleased to see great traction in Asia – not only in further video analytics adoption but also more widespread acknowledgment of the value of our intellectual property.”
Other ObjectVideo patent licensees include Hikvision, Sony, Panasonic, Pelco, Bosch, March Networks, Tyco/American Dynamics, FLIR, Vivotek, UDP, VideoIQ, 3VR and AgentVi.
ObjectVideo holds 59 U.S. and international patents in the field of video analytics and has more than 40 U.S. and international patents pending.
