Oliver Fire Protection Acquires Local Rival

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — With its recent purchase of Upper Darby, Pa.-based Omni Alarms Inc., Oliver Fire Protection & Security has expanded its footprint in Southeast Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Terms of the transaction were not released.

Oliver purchased several hundred commercial and residential monitoring accounts from Omni Alarms’ father/son team Robert and Daniel Robinson. Robert will retire from the business; however, his son will continue as an Oliver employee, according to Oliver Executive Vice President Russ Walters.

Since 1957, Oliver has served in the fire protection industry. In 2003, the company began operating its electronic division focused on fire alarm, security, CCTV and card access systems. Based in King of Prussia, Pa., Oliver has a satellite office in Chester, N.J., and serves customers from Norfolk, Va., to Rhode Island.
