TEANECK, N.J.—  Hanwha Vision is delivering a new way for security professionals to manage their surveillance resources with the release of OnCloud, a direct-to-cloud Video Management Software as a Service (VSaaS) platform.

OnCloud, the company asserts, provides dealers with a flexible design that simplifies the cloud-based user experience, combining scalability and speed with the benefits of edge-based recording and AI analytics. Hanwha Vision continues by stating the VSaaS solution offers everything needed to streamline an organization’s surveillance system, whether it’s across a single facility or multiple sites.

“OnCloud is the future of VSaaS, and that future is happening today,” says Tom Cook, EVP of sales, marketing & operations at Hanwha Vision America. “Embracing the cloud ‘as-a-service’ allows users to create intuitive and customized video security deployments that are managed and maintained for them. It’s the heart of our frictionless cloud ecosystem offering total on-premise and remote surveillance management capabilities combined with AI, data analytics, system health monitoring and business intelligence.”

OnCloud VSaaS Platform Features Easy-to-Use Interface

According to the company, OnCloud’s non-proprietary, hardware-agnostic architecture easily integrates with existing infrastructures, giving customers the additional flexibility to use any device without being locked into a specific platform.

Hanwha Vision explains that its new VSaaS solution is a flexible resource for end users, distributors, and system integrators working in surveillance environments requiring low-latency access to live and recorded video, searchable clips, event notifications, and more.

The company suggests that OnCloud offers fast, responsive video playback through an intuitive user interface to enable security professionals to quickly find footage, as well as enabling the ability to generate actionable business insights, while managing multiple cameras to scale their surveillance systems.

Dealers can also perform services such as adding cameras, locations, and users through the VSaaS’ web interface while monitoring and receiving alerts via the mobile client application on their phone or tablet.

Hanwha Vision also notes that by using OnCloud, the platform’s advanced AI algorithms let users search by face, clothing, vehicle type, and more. The company boasts that searching is instant—no waiting while a camera uploads from a gateway, an NVR, or an SD card. Secure SD card edge recording with cloud access provides the flexibility of edge-based recording with cloud management capabilities.

Other options the platform provides include the ability to view a dashboard of customer sites to proactively identify potential issues before they arise. Collaborators can securely upload documents, images, and video files from their phones or other sources to share complete incident details

In addition, Hanwha Vision emphasizes that its OnCloud platform supports more than 90 of its camera models, including PTZ and fisheye form factors.
