The Open Security Exchange (OSE) has formed a council that will as a conduit of end-user concerns for the cross-industry group, which provides standards and guidelines for the integration of physical and IT security. The OSE’s Convergence Council will work with its advisory members to define strategic direction for the group.
“The role of the Convergence Council is critical for the success of the Open Security Exchange,” says Steve Hunt of Forrester Research, who is an advisory member for the OSE along with Sandra Jones of Sandra Jones and Co. “The Exchange must stay in close touch with the requirements of security officers in order to deliver applicable technical solutions for an otherwise complex convergence problem.”
Initially, four members have been named to the Convergence Council – Michael Butler of the Defense Manpower Data Center, Adam Stanislaus of First Data Corp.; James Connor of PeopleSoft; and Jon Hodgdon of Procter & Gamble. Plans are to expand the council to 10 members.
