As a result of a recent acquisition, video surveillance
manufacturer Optelecom Inc. is changing its corporate name
to Optelecom-NKF Inc. Optelecom says the move has been made
to align its two strongest brands: Optelecom and NKF
Electronics. Optelecom
acquired the European
network video supplier
NKF in late March.
“We combined two strong product lines and two sales units
with little geographic overlap when we acquired NKF
Electronics B.V. last month,” says Optelecom-NKF President
and CEO Edmund Ludwig. “Our new name underscores our global
market reach and reflects our commitment to support and
enhance both well-known brands.”
