Optex, a manufacturer of infrared optical sensors and other security equipment, recently announced that Security Marketing Consultants (SMC) of Lisle, Ill., now represents Optex in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
“Optex now has field representation in all major North American business centers,” says Gordon Lang, vice president of sales and marketing with Optex. “Our ability to serve customers significantly improves as professional field representatives like SMC support the Optex line.”
SMC President Keith Pope is the primary field consultant to distributors and dealers for Optex. According to Optex, he is an industry veteran who has detailed knowledge of Optex products as well as the security industry. This will enable him to promote the expanding Optex catalog with a special focus on outdoor sensor solutions.
