JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — New partnerships will allow IP video provider and distributor Optiview Inc. to offer IP cameras from Samsung, Sony and Vivotek, in addition to its own IP camera brand.
Previously, Optiview sold its own private brand of cameras and servers almost exclusively. However, as the popularity of IP video surveillance grows, the company needed a new approach to serve its clients, Optiview CEO David Page says.
“In the IP arena partnerships and compatibility are critical,” he says. “Our customers expect products that work together and work well. We have partnered with providers that will stay current with the technology and deliver consistent quality, dependability and scalability.”
The company will also provide network-based video management software (VMS) from Exacq Technologies. Optiview will also offer Digifort VMS, which supports a broad range of third party cameras and servers.
To determine which products to offer its customers, Optiview tested testing IP-based hardware and software for several years.
“Anyone can sell an IP camera but what Optiview does differently is provide IP solutions,” Page says. “Our IP product line is now complete with the cameras, software, infrastructure, and support for real world IP surveillance applications.”
