ORLANDO — A security guard at an Orlando apartment complex allegedly strangled a woman to death who lived at the complex, according to a report by the Orlando Sentinel.
Orlando police said on Friday that 27-year-old Sasha Samsudean was strangled to death by Stephen Michael Duxbury on Friday at Uptown Place Apartments after returning to her home at 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 17.

Duxbury, 33, had worked at Vital Security and Investigations and was working at the complex for five months. He was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on Friday by U.S. marshals, according to police. Duxbury is being held at Volusia County Branch Jail in Daytona Beach on charges of first-degree murder, sexual battery and burglary.
Among the evidence against Duxbury are Samsudean’s ripped blouse, a thumbprint on the top of her apartment’s toilet lid and surveillance video.
“As a security guard, he used his access to prey on someone who was very vulnerable,” Orlando police Chief John Mina said on Friday.
There was no indication that Samsudean and Duxbury knew each other, Orlando police Sgt. Dan Brady said.
