Pacom Systems of Sarasota, Fla., and Dedicated Micros of
Chantilly, Va., recently partnered to make it easier for
central station operators to qualify alarm drops by seeking
video verification. Pacom’s Graphical Management System
(GMS) will interface with many of Dedicated Micro’s digital
video recorder products, including the Eco4, BX2, D4,
Digital Sprite and DV-IP.
The GMS-Dedicated Micros integration will deliver enhanced
levels of security by centralizing video management, access
control and alarm monitoring through a single user
interface, the companies say. This will facilitate
automatic video retrieval when an operator actions an alarm
or access control event. Because verification is more
assured by the use of video, this will reduce the
likelihood of false dispatches.
