TEL AVIV — Agent Video Intelligence (Agent Vi) and Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Co. announce the companies have successfully completed a product integration.

Agent Vi’s savVi video analytics solution will now be integrated on Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions’ i-PRO EXTREME cameras. The video analytics solution is said to feature a set of advanced, automated tools for the immediate detection and extraction of events and data from surveillance footage.

This results in replacing the time-consuming, laborious and costly tasks of manually monitoring live video feeds and reviewing recorded video, according to the announcement. The platform offers real-time event detection, video search and business intelligence applications.

Panasonic i-PRO Extreme cameras are well-suited for Agent Vi’s video analytics solutions due to the clear images they capture under extreme conditions, according to the announcement. The savVi platform is said to withstand extreme or problematic environments such as substandard lighting, inclement weather, obscured fields of view and occluded lenses.

The integrated solution allows i-PRO Extreme camera users to deploy Agent Vi’s video analytics in an optimal setup that minimizes hardware requirements and eases deployment, the announcement states. The Agent Vi component is embedded in the camera to allow pre-processing on the edge, thereby reducing server-side processing and enabling support for hundreds of cameras per typical server.

Among other benefits, this enables the Panasonic cameras with simultaneous use of the full range of savVi’s video analytics capabilities. Agent Vi CTO Zvika Ashani says the integration will provide an optimal solution for high-end public safety installations.

“We see strong demand for Agent Vi’s video analytics solutions combined with Panasonic i-PRO Extreme cameras from various verticals, such as city surveillance and government facilities,” he says.

In October 2019, i-PRO Sensing Solutions became independent from Panasonic to establish the Image Sensing Business.
