Patty Hartman Is First Woman to Receive CAA Lifetime Achievement Award

LAS VEGAS — California Alarm Association (CAA) announced during the ISC West Leadership Breakfast Wednesday that Patty Hartman will be the 2012 recipient of the George A. Weinstock Award for lifetime achievement and service to the security industry. Hartman, a former two-term president of CAA, is the first female to receive the award.

Hartman has been active within the security industry since 1982. She currently serves with Alarm Capital Alliance, a Media, Pa.-based firm that purchases accounts from alarm dealers. Hartman’s previous experience includes serving as a customer service manager for DMP, and in various positions for more than 20 years with Bay Alarm of Pacheco, Calif.

The George A. Weinstock Award was established in 1999 as the highest honor bestowed by the association. Hartman will be honored during a formal award ceremony at the CAA Winter Convention in San Francisco, held Dec. 6-8.
