Paxton Electronics Centre Now Open

Paxton has opened a new, state-of-the-art facility located near the universities of Sussex and Brighton in England.

GREENVILLE, S.C.—Paxton has officially opened a brand-new manufacturing facility called the Paxton Electronics Centre. This milestone the company asserts, coincides with its continued expansion, and increased customer demand for products and services.

The company explains the state-of-the-art facility is its vision for its technology park in the U.K. The site which is located between the universities of Sussex and Brighton, encompasses the company’s global headquarters. This modern campus is where Paxton products and systems start their development process and route to international markets.

Paxton Electronics Centre Foster new Era of Access Control Product Development

Paxton, a global technology manufacturer that began in a small factory in Sussex in 1985, when local businessman Tony Brotherton-Ratcliffe invented a single door keypad reader called the TOUCHLOCK. This product the company claims, put it at the forefront of the electronic access control market, which the company continues to innovate around smart devices and video technology.

The company boasts the aesthetics of the Paxton Electronics Centre are a testament to it commitment to research and development (R&D) and innovation. Paxton points out that its new facility has been designed with employee collaboration and their personal wellbeing in mind. There are ergonomic rest areas, collaboration spaces, a gym, and an impressive rear sun deck that has views out to the sea in line with Brighton’s i360 viewing platform.

“One of Paxton’s key objectives is to be among the very best places to work. The environments provided for our employees is one way in which we can make this a reality while facilitating productivity and innovation,” notes Stroud.

The company now employs over 400 people globally and provides security technology to over 64 countries, securing approximately 30,000 buildings annually with their security systems Net2, Paxton10, Entry, and PaxLock.

The Paxton Electronics Centre has taken just under a year to transform from a dilapidated warehouse into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with an emphasis on developing new techniques for sustainable production.

“We have invested in a new surface-mount line and installed a new wave solder line. All the new manufacturing equipment is energy efficient to the latest standards,” adds Andrew Clark, manufacturing engineering manager, Paxton. “Additionally, we have set aside part of the facility with a long-term vision for investigation into new efficient, sustainable and innovative manufacturing techniques.”
