GREENVILLE, S.C. — Paxton Access announces its Net2 Entry video intercom system has been updated to work “standalone” based on customer feedback.
Standalone is a simple, low maintenance and non-networked solution, meaning that the Net2 Entry system can now be used with credentials without the need for a Net2 server, according to the company.
The Net2 Entry is a plug and play video intercom system which consists of three components that auto detect on set up; an external panel, interior monitor and door controller.
Paxton says the Net2 Entry used in standalone mode is well-suited for dealers that want to provide their customers with the opportunity to expand existing sites already utilizing Paxton’s Compact and Switch2 range or on sites where connecting to a network or server isn’t possible.
Additional features brought by this update include enhanced security with keypad scramble and the ability to import and export contacts with SIP when using with a network.
“We’re continuously searching for ways to expand our product offering to meet customer requirements. Standalone mode allows dealers more flexibility to give their customers a lower cost, simple user management system,” says Jonathan Lach, Paxton vice president of sales.
