LANCASTER, Pa. — Pennsylvania Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (PBFAA) will celebrate its 30th anniversary during its annual membership meeting, held June 6-7 at the Lancaster Host Resort here.
On the conference’s opening day, PBFAA members will elect new officers, plus honor colleagues with accolades such as the Associate Member of the Year, Annual Scholarship Awards and the Keith Ladd Leadership Award.
The event will offer five educational tracks to help electronic security contractors improve their businesses. During the technical sessions, attendees will review topics such as fire detection, DVR/NVR selection and understanding access control hardware. The business track will include presentations to help attendees understand their business numbers and improve partnerships with public safety officials and legislators. This seminar will also cover updates on Pennsylvania’s Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act (HICPA).
Sales sessions will provide attendees with tips to expand recurring monthly revenue (RMR), and Interlogix and NAPCO Security will individually host additional sessions.
Industry expert witness Jeffrey Zwirn will conduct the keynote seminar session titled, “Alarm Science Bootcamp,” which will educate attendees on the actions and inactions of their daily activities that can land them in court, forced to defend their business practices.
PBFAA will host its annual vendor exhibits from noon to 4 p.m. on June 7. Featuring more than 40 industry product and service providers, the expo will include a networking luncheon for attendees and a silent auction for the association’s scholarship program.
