Pelco and AMAG Technology announce a partnership to create a complete product integration of video, access control, intrusion and visitor management, biometrics and other security and building management systems.
“This powerful integration will provide system operators with the capability to easily determine the appropriate response to unusual events or security threats,” says Pelco’s Terry Carver, API business development manager. “Operators can view live and recorded video data simultaneously – providing faster alarm response time and dispatch of security personnel to the alarm location.”
Carver says the Pelco DX8000 and DX8100 series of DVRs and AMAG’s Symmetry access control system will now work together to provide a solution for the recording, storing and retrieval of video-based intrusion and access control events.
The series includes Windows XP embedded operating system and a full-screen playback mode, providing unlimited connections for live-view through a Web browser with a multicasting-enabled network.
“AMAG has many customers who have purchased or want to purchase the Pelco DX8100, yet want the power of the integration to AMAG’s Symmetry security management solution,” says AMAG Technology President Bob Sawyer. “This new integration gives customers what they’ve been asking for.”
