Pelco’s employees continue to be the most generous
benefactors of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots
program. Continuing their holiday tradition, Pelco
employees presented the Marines with 141,934 toys to be
distributed to needy children for the holidays – the
largest donation
drive of any company in the nation.
Pelco employees solicited 31,114 more toys that they did a
year ago and nearly broke their record of 149,408 items
donated in 2000.
The toy donation program began among the employees in 1993
with just 808 toys and has grown into a major event not
only in the company, but also in the Clovis community
complete with a toy parade.
The Marines say that because of Pelco’s donation, every
identified needy kid in the community surrounding the
company headquarters will receive at least one toy for the
holidays.
