Pelco has opened new warehouse facilities in Shanghai and Louisville, Ky., in order to provide improved customer service, shorter ship and lead times, plus more cost-efficient shipping.

“We want to make it easier to do business with us, and these facilities were designed and planned with our customer’s requirements in mind,” says Pelco Vice President of Global Supply Chain Logistics Tony Stallings.

The Shanghai distribution center opened in August. An existing Schneider Electric China Investment (SECI) facility will warehouse and ship Pelco’s products. Teaming up with the Schneider facility was the most operationally beneficial and cost-effective means to allow Pelco to better serve the growing China market, according to the company.

The Louisville distribution center opened in July and utilizes 15,000 square feet of warehouse space on the UPS Distribution Campus adjacent to UPS’ Worldport air hub. The facility will ship to the Eastern United States and Canada.
