PELCO ROUNDS UP A RECORD 149K TOYS FOR TOYS FOR TOTS PROGRAM

Video security systems manufacturer Pelco has presented a record 149,408 toys to the Toys for Tots charity and the U.S. Marine Corp. during an extensive ceremony at the company’s Clovis headquarters. The Pelco donation is believed to be the largest ever in the program’s entire 50-year history, nationwide. The festive occasion, which included a marching band and U.S. Navy helicopter, was attended by local dignitaries and press, numerous Marine Corp. personnel, and around 1,000 cheering Pelco employees. This donation, alone, will allow the Marines to far exceed their local-area goal of 100,000 toys, ensuring that every identified needy child will receive at least one gift during the holidays.

“This year’s donation of 149,408 toys is an astounding accomplishment—and a wonderful tribute to this great Pelco family,” says CEO David McDonald. “After last year’s incredible total of 74,000 toys, it seemed unlikely we could ever do better; what a nice surprise. This is a year-round tremendous effort by hundreds of dedicated Pelco people.” Pelco is the world’s largest manufacturer of video security systems, and central California’s largest manufacturing employer.
