Penn, Teller to Appear at NFPA Conference Opening Ceremony

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) will hold its annual World Safety Conference & Exposition at the new Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, June 2-5. The magic team of Penn & Teller will perform at the opening session.

More than 150 sessions in 11 educational tracks will be conducted during the conference. A ceremonial ribbon-cutting will signal the official opening of the expo where more than 330 exhibitors will show off their latest fire, life and electrical safety products.

Among the session highlights: “Performance-Based Smoke Control Design,” “Building a Security Program from theGround Up,” “What Is Next for NFPA 731?” “So Sue Me! Liability Issues in Life SafetyEducation,” and “Things You Will Want to Know About the 2010 NFPA 72®.”

Attendees can also enter to win NFPA’s grand prize giveaway trip to Rome and Florence, Italy for two, sponsored by Cooper Notification. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, June 4, at 1:30. Winners must be present in the expo hall to win.
