Frank DeFina, president of Panasonic Systems Solutions Co., has been named as the new director of the Security Industry Association (SIA) by the association’s board.
In a manufacturer switch, Frank Abram has left the position of vice president of Panasonic’s Security Systems Group and joined Sanyo Security Products.
Abram will develop sales and business for Sanyo’s security offerings as its vice president of sales and marketing.
Joann Johnson has been hired by Brink’s Home Security to be its vice president and controller at the firm’s headquarters in Irving, Texas.
Johnson was most recently vice president of finance and administration at Celion Networks Inc. and has also been with IP Communications Corp., Communication Expo Corp. and Tandy Corp.
Access control manufacturer HID of Irvine, Calif., has named Michael L. Davis to the newly created position of director of technology, intellectual property.
Griff Kimble has joined security sensor maker Aleph America Corp. as vice president of its security division.
Kimble was previously vice president of Optex America Inc.
Patrick Kaidantzis is the new president of access control manufacturer Gunnebo Omega.
The Denmark-native was previously the senior manager for product management at communications provider Alcatel USA.
