Securitas, the Swedish security services group, announces its board appoints Alf Goransson as the firm’s new CEO beginning March 5. Goransson, currently CEO of Swedish construction group NCC, will succeed Thomas Berglund. The firm said that Berglund, who will remain Securitas’ top executive until Goransson joins the company, would be leaving the group.

HID Global appoints Tom Heiser as vice president of VertX/IP Devices. Heiser will be responsible for setting business objectives, strategy development and tactical action plans for VertX, an open architecture family of interface devices and controllers, and IP devices. Prior to joining HID Global, Heiser served with Tyco Safety Products as director of product management for access control and video systems.

Alarm Lock Systems Inc. appoints Mickey Wallis as western regional sales manager serving Arizona, Nevada, California, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Western Canada. Also, Len Stoia is appointed Midwest regional sales manager, serving 15 states.

Bill Spence, former long-time vice president of marketing and general manager with Ingersoll Rand Recognition Systems, has joined biometrics specialist Lumidigm of Albuquerque, N.M.
