DAVENPORT, Iowa — Per Mar Security Services has acquired Fast Alert Alarm and Security Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Fast Alert employees have joined the Per Mar team. Former owner Jim Flater will serve as the new electronic security general manager for Per Mar’s Eau Claire branch operations.
The combined operation will allow for the continuation and enhancement of security services provided to customers of both Per Mar and Fast Alert, including fire and burglar alarms, access control and CCTV systems. Ron Davis and Katie Maahs-Bally of Davis Marketing Group helped facilitate the transaction. “They are a quality company with suburb management. Fast Alert has the quality base that Per Mar already has and it was a perfect fit,” Davis tells SSI. Per Mar has been in negotiations with Fast Alert for nearly a year, but Davis says serious discussion had been escalating for the past three months.
“Per Mar recognized the quality of the company and the transaction,” he says. “It would appear that the market for acquisitions has really heated up.”
