Per Mar Security Services Acquires Minnesota’s Northern Safety and Security
The super-regional security provider expands its residential customer base in the North Star state.
Per Mar Security Services announced the acquisition of Northern Safety and Security of Bemidji, Minn.
DAVENPORT, Iowa – Per Mar Security Services, based here, has acquired Northern Safety and Security of Bemidji, Minn. Both companies specialize in providing electronic security solutions for their mostly residential customer bases.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The addition of Northern Safety and Security and its 2,000 accounts to the Per Mar customer base continues to build the super regional’s presence in Minnesota. Per Mar will continue operations in the Bemidji office.
Established in 1953, Per Mar has in 23 offices located throughout the Midwest. The company operates a UL-listed central station that monitors more than 40,000 customers, as well as provides guarding services.
“The team at Northern Safety and Security has done a great job taking care of their customers for many years, and it is important to us that this same level of service continues,” says Brian Duffy, president of Per Mars’ electronic division. “It is the local employees that will really drive that.”
Per Mar was advised by Barry Epstein of Vertex Capital on the transaction.
