Pinkerton’s Inc. has acquired South Arkansas Security, based in Camden, Ark., and Capital City Patrol of Little Rock. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “The addition of these two quality companies will greatly enhance our local capabilities, particularly in the area of patrol services,” says Frank Sullivan, district manager for Pinkerton’s Little Rock office. “This fits well with Pinkerton’s strategy of achieving national growth through local focus.” Both South Arkansas Security, founded in 1982, and Capital City Patrol, established in 1985, provide uniformed security officers and patrol services, primarily to industrial accounts and other local businesses. Through these acquisitions, Pinkerton’s, the nation’s largest security services company, adds approximately 90 professional security officers to its local staff.
