Pivot3 Names Nash CEO of Video Storage Solutions Provider
AUSTIN, Texas — Pivot3, a supplier of video surveillance and virtual desktop (VDI) software-defined storage appliances, has named Ron Nash as the company’s new CEO. Nash will be responsible for accelerating the adoption of Pivot3 solutions in the market and strengthening momentum following the company’s recent $14 million funding round.
Nash has been involved with Pivot3 for eight years, and has served as an investor, member of the board of directors and chairman for the company.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ron to the operations side of the Pivot3 team at such an exciting time of growth,” says Bill Galloway, CTO and founder of Pivot3. “Since joining our board of directors in 2005, Ron has continuously brought an insightful, practical and strategic perspective on our company’s direction and helped us recruit key executives. We are certain that his expertise will be a valued asset in our next phases of hyper growth.”
A veteran technology industry executive, Nash previously worked for ExoLink (acquired by Alliance Data Systems), Advanced Telemarketing (now Aegis Global) and Rubicon (acquired by Cerner), as well as at larger information technology companies like Perot Systems (now Dell Services) and EDS (now HP Enterprise Services).
During his time at Perot Systems, he was a senior vice president and helped the company grow revenue from $100 million to $1.2 billion. More recently, he served as a partner at InterWest Partners, investing in successful breakthrough technology companies like Pivot3 and Lombardi Software (acquired by IBM).
“Having led both small and large companies through rapid growth periods to significant scale and business success, I saw that I could help this team as they accelerate,” Nash says. “Pivot3 serves customers and partners in the VDI and surveillance markets by providing out-of-the-box software-defined storage solutions that are high-performance, easy to deploy and cost-effective. I am very excited to join the Austin and Houston-based teams that will propel Pivot3 to even greater success.”
