Plane Crashes into Hudson … Again: Surveillance Videos of the Week

Other top surveillance videos this week include a hot air balloon getting stuck on a cell phone tower, a dog dumping trash and much more.

If you’re a reader of a certain age, you might be wondering if the latest edition of Surveillance Videos of the Week is caught in some sort of time warp. After all, didn’t we already see and hear about a plane crashing into the Hudson River years ago? Wasn’t there even a movie starring Tom Hanks about the heroic pilot of that flight?

Yes to all of that, but apparently a flight school student is angling for a sequel with his recent plunge into the icy waters of the Hudson River — or maybe he just wanted to be part of this weekly feature. Either way, we’ve got the video to show you what happened before, during and after the latest incident of life repeating itself.

This week, we also have footage of a dog in Italy trained to dump trash on the side of the road, a flight that had to quickly return to Los Angeles International Airport, a hot air balloon getting stuck on a cell phone tower and much more.

We’ve also got the tail end of a high-speed chase, a pelican getting loose on a baseball field and a police officer’s bodycam serving as a life-saver during a shootout in Florida, among other must-see videos.
