Plans Announced for 2nd Annual AIREF/NBFAA Golf Tournament
SILVER SPRING, Md.
For the second-straight year, alarm industry dealers and leaders will keep their briefcases and shoulder bags in their hotel room the day before ISC West and take out their golf clubs. The Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation (AIREF) and the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) will hold the Second Annual AIREF/NBFAA Golf Tournament April 5 at Las Vegas’ Troon’s Revere Golf Club.
Later in the evening, the NBFAA will hold its annual awards dinner at the Treasure Island Resort and Casino.
More than 100 participants took part in last year’s inaugural golf tournament, which helps raise funds for AIREF’s research and outreach effort on behalf of the industry.
“There’s no reason for anyone to feel guilty about taking the afternoon off to play,” said NBFAA Executive Director Merlin Guilbeau in a statement. “By taking part in the tournament, participants are both helping the industry and networking with business associates.”
The golf tournament will tee off on the morning of April 5 – a day before the start of the 37th International Security Conference (ISC) West show.
At 6 p.m., the NBFAA will present its annual Morris F. Weinstock and Sara Jackson awards during an evening event at Treasure Island’s new nightspot, the Tangerine Lounge and Nightclub.
An individual fee covers greens fees, cart, lunch, transportation to and from the golf course and the evening event. Those not involved in the golf event can pre-register for the evening event only for $100.
