MAHWAH, N.J.—Bogen Communications LLC, a developer of commercial audio and voice communications technology, has announced the launch of the second generation PS120-G2 and PS240-G2 Platinum Series Amplifiers, which are said to incorporate features that optimize power delivery and audio quality for a range of applications.

Platinum Series Amps Designed for Long-Term Service
The Bogen PS120/240-G2 Platinum Series Amplifiers feature an internal impedance matching transformer, which, combined with a mode selector switch and separate output connectors on the rear panel are said to optimize power output and audio volume for attached 70-volt speakers. According to Bogen, this new design adds specific features for 70-volt operation to help ensure improved output power and audio volume for attached 70-volt speakers without the need for external transformers.
Bogen points out the PS120/240-G2 Platinum Series Amplifiers’ mode selector switch is easily accessible on the rear panel, allowing users to switch between 8-ohm, 25-volt, and 70-volt speakers. The company asserts that users can achieve optimal sound levels regardless of the speaker type installed. Additionally, the Platinum Series PS120/240-G2 Amplifiers feature separate output connectors for 8-ohm/25V and 70V speakers, simplifying the setup and enhancing compatibility with various speaker systems.
The N.J.-based manufacturer emphasizes that customer feedback and demands for future-proof hardware drove the development of these second generation PS120/240-G2 Platinum Series Amplifiers. Bogen Communications designed these new models for various applications, including commercial, educational, and industrial settings, achieving the loudest audio volume for all speaker types at given power levels without the need to add an external transformer for 70-volt speakers.
