Popular Proximity Readers Built Into Intercom Door Stations

Published: May 31, 2005

Aiphone Corp. of Bellevue, Wash., announces the inclusion of embedded HID ProxPoint and iClass access control readers into several of its more popular door stations. This all-in-one approach eliminates the need to install a separate outside door station and access control reader at entryways.

According to Aiphone, the units are compatible with both ProxPoint and iClass credentials. Aiphone’s products range from simple audio-only, two-station systems to complicated video door answering intercoms for industrial, commercial and residential use.
