PORTLAND, Ore. — Security provider Selectron continued a beautiful friendship with the Portland Art Museum (PAM) after expanding its security system.
Selectron recently completed a multi-phase project by installing additional cameras and DVRs to the North Building expansion at PAM, as well as installing card readers for access to restricted areas. The biggest challenge was dealing with the fact that the North Building, a former Masonic Temple, was completely separate from the rest of the complex.
The remedy was to run Cat-5 cabling through underground conduits connecting the two buildings, and taking advantage of Selectron’s strong partnership with PAM’s security director, Nolan Hibbard.
“He was quite good at being open to suggestion. As far as I was concerned, he really stayed on top of things,” says Selectron Systems Engineer Gary Clark.
