Precise Biometrics has acquired all intellectual property related to fingerprint matching on smart cards, called Match-on-Card, from Veridicom, a provider of fingerprint-based technologies and services for E-business transactions.
The technology was introduced into the market during 2000. Some of Precise Biometrics’ customers are already using its Match-on-Card(tm) product, including digital identity technology provider ActiCard and European information technology (IT) security provider Utimaco.
