The Protection Bureau of Exton, Pa., announces it has awarded its 2007 Education Fund Scholarships, which are provided to children of current company employees.
The 3rd annual program was established by Keith and Mary Ladd, owners of The Protection Bureau, to benefit students who enroll in formal post-high school education programs. The $1,000 scholarships are provided each year to help pay for tuition and classroom books.
For 2007, three awards were distributed to students attending Penn State University, West Chester University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
A panel of three independent judges, who received unopened applications, made their selections with no input from the company other than to verify eligibility of the applicant.
Founded in 1975, the family owned company provides security card access, video surveillance, central station monitoring and fire/life-safety solutions.
