PSA Security Network has announced a new name and venue for
its annual conference and expo, becoming an independent
show once again. In addition, PSA is now opening up its
annual expo to non-members. The event, to take place near
Chicago next May, will now be known as PSA-TEC, with TEC
standing for “training, exhibits and conference.”
For the past two years, the PSA event had been held jointly
with the National Systems Contractors Association’s (NSCA)
Systems Integration Expo, most recently HREF=’t_ci_articleView.cfm?aid=2007&sid=0′

The 2006 PSA-TEC will be held from May 10 to 13 at the
Pheasant Run Resort and Spa in St. Charles, Ill. For the
first time, the exhibit hall and the training sessions will
be open to those outside the PSA Security Network.
“We have listened to our members’ about what they want from
PSA’s spring conference,” said PSA President and CEO Bill
Bozeman, a member of the SSI TARGET=’_blank’>Hall of Fame. “The 2006 PSA-TEC comes
at a perfect time following ISC. Now that products have
been introduced, the management team, sales force and
technicians can receive the technical training they need
for those products.”
Preceding the May 10 start of the expo will be two days of
presession technical training. Remaining closed to non-PSA
members will be the PSA Vendor Appreciation Awards Banquet,
opening mixer, hospitality event and business meeting.
