WESTMINSTER, Colo. — PSA University, on behalf of the PSA board of directors, has opened the application period for the PSA Scholarship and PSA TEC Fellowship.
The programs “are designed to support and empower individuals within the security industry and provide educational and professional development opportunities to PSA owner and member company employees,” according to the PSA announcement.
“We created the PSA Scholarship and Fellowship to support and empower the next generation of security industry leaders at PSA member companies,” says Candice Aragon, PSA vice president of marketing and education, in the announcement. “The scholarship provides funds for higher education or industry certifications and the fellowship pays for PSA TEC attendance.”
PSA Scholarship
The PSA Scholarship provides winning applicants financial support toward education at higher institutions or industry certifications.
Application Process: The application includes a 600-word essay and one letter of recommendation.
Winners Announcement: Successful applicants will be announced at PSA TEC in May 2024.
Eligibility: Open exclusively to employees of PSA owner and member companies, this scholarship aims to support those looking to further their education at higher institutions, pursue industry certifications or obtain certifications.
Financial Support: More than one scholarship will be granted. An individual candidate can win $2,500. Up to $10,000 is available.
Applications close on April 5, 2024. Winners will be announced May 13-16, 2024.
PSA TEC Fellowship
Three fellows will be awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to PSA TEC 2024 in Dallas.
Application Process: Owner and member companies can submit applications for a next-generation leader within their organization to attend PSA TEC free of charge. Next-generation leaders can also submit themselves as long as they work for an owner or member company.
Inclusions: PSA will cover event registration, a three-night hotel stay at the conference hotel, Hyatt Regency Dallas, and economy airfare for the selected fellows, making attendance at PSA TEC an accessible opportunity for emerging leaders.
Selection Criteria: Three winners will be selected, and the fellowship is exclusively for first-time PSA TEC attendees.
Testimonial Requirement: Winners are expected to provide a testimonial of their experience, sharing insights and the impact attending PSA TEC has had on their professional development.
Applications close on March 15, 2024. Winners will be announced the following week.
