PSA Security Cybersecurity Congress Registration Now Open

The first annual, two-day event is designed for senior leaders in the IT and physical security industries.

WESTMINSTER, Colo. – PSA Security Network, a systems integrator cooperative, is accepting registration for the inaugural Cybersecurity Congress to be held here Jan. 20-21, 2015.

This two-day educational assembly brings together senior leaders in the IT and physical security industries where they will learn about risks and liabilities they face, how to establish policies to defend against or respond to threats, and how to adopt security control standards for their organization.

The event is being produced in collaboration with exclusive media partners Security Sales & Integration and ChannelPro magazines. 

As part of a larger education initiative focused on bringing cybersecurity awareness to the forefront for the physical security industry, the Cybersecurity Congress agenda will center on six core themes with content specific to IT and physical security industry participants:

• Program policy
• Liability
• Legal responsibility
• Risk management
• Threats and vulnerability
• Cyber managed services

“This event is the first of its kind to address cybersecurity issues specific to the physical security industry,” says Bill Bozeman, president of PSA Security Network. “Physical security integrators’ expertise has always been on securing assets and people. Now with the advent of security systems living on end user networks, they must expand their knowledge base regarding cybersecurity as well. This event will help them bridge that gap and form strategic partnerships to future proof their own solutions.” 

The program benefits from the direction of an Executive Advisory Council whose members represent practice areas including physical security manufacturers, integrators, IT executives, security consultants and engineers, cyber security experts and cyber law.
