SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Rapid Response Monitoring will hold a job fair as it seeks to fill more than 70 positions at its new monitoring center here.
Held in conjunction with the New York State Labor Department, Rapid Response will host the job fair on Jan. 14 in the third level Canyon Area, outside Toby Keith’s, in the Destiny USA shopping mall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Syracuse.com reports.

The alarm monitoring company is seeking applicants for the following full-time positions:
- Customer Service Representative
- Data Entry Representative
- Accounting Assistant
- Sales Account Executive
- Communication and Social Media Specialist
- Sales Specialist
- Alarm Technician/Technical Support Specialist
- Senior Network Administrator/Network Engineer
- Electrical Engineer
- Software Developer
- Mobile App Developer
- Leadership Development Program
- Hardware Design Engineer
- Marketing Intern
- Programming Internship
- IT Intern
Starting pay for entry-level positions at the company is about $14 an hour. However, pay varies by position, experience and knowledge, according to the company.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to pre-register online at labor.ny.gov and to bring their resume to the event.
Founded in 1992, Rapid Response monitors burglar, fire and other alarms for commercial and residential customers of security alarm companies nationwide. Last summer, the firm broke ground on a three-story, 35,000-square-foot addition to its 40,000-square-foot headquarters at, where it employs 450 people.
Company executives expect the expansion to be completed in the spring of 2016. When the facility is opened, an additional 50 to 60 jobs will be created, the company said.
Additionally, Rapid Response plans to open a full-service monitoring facility in Corona, Calif., in February.
