The Conettix D6100 communications receiver/gateway by Bosch Security Systems of Fairport, N.Y., is designed to provide alarm communication over two public switched telephone network (PSTN) lines. This results in a higher level of line security as well as technical convenience than single-line receivers provide. The second line acts as a backup in the event that the primary line goes down.
The D6100 uses digital signal processing (DSP) to analyze incoming signals for more reliable and flexible performance. And in cases where the acknowledgement tone does not meet the expected communication protocol specifications, the D6100 will still attempt to read, analyze and act on the signal. The unit also provides two-way audio and connects to the central station automation system.
