The E-Plex 5000 Series by Kaba Access Control of Winston-Salem, N.C., is now available with remote unlock. According to Kaba, the remote unlocking feature is now available in both cylindrical and mortise for the E-Plex 5000, 5200 and 5700.
The remote unlock feature is useful in applications like a receptionist station or where management must keep a door closed and locked while performing access control by validating the identity of authorized users. The unit comes prewired for external connection to a remote switch.
