RF MICRO DEVICES DELIVERS COMPLETE KIT FOR KEYLESS ENTRY, WIRELESS SECURITY SYSTEMS

RF Micro Devices Inc., a provider of proprietary radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for wireless communication applications, announces the first release in a series of reference designs created for developers of remote keyless entry systems, wireless security systems and RF remote controls. The DK1000 kit includes a transmitter based on the RF2516 and comes with rolling code encoder, printed antenna, LED indicators, activation pushbuttons and a battery. A receiver, based on the RF2919, is included and comes with rolling code decoder, printed antenna, LED and buzzer indicators and a battery.

Available for use at either 315MHz or 433MHz, the transmitter has been tested and found to be compliant to applicable Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations at 315MHz. “One of the key goals at RF Micro Devices is enabling faster design cycles for our customers. The development of the DK1000 kit demonstrates our commitment to delivering complete solutions for customer applications,” says A.J. Nadler, the company’s director of silicon systems products.
