Richmond Alarm Acquires Becker & Ellington Security Systems

Located in Central Virginia, merging with the acquired company is anticipated to result in double digit growth for Richmond Alarm.

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Alarm, based here, has acquired Becker & Ellington Security Systems of Midlothian, Va., for undisclosed terms.

The transaction is the second Richmond Alarm has made in the past year, according to a press release.

The merger is anticipated to result in double digit growth for the company as  it continues to expand its physical security services footprint in Central Virginia and offer the latest technology to residential and commercial customers.

All Becker & Ellington employees will join the purchasing company.

Becker & Ellington and Richmond Alarm have been in close partnership for more than 20 years as Becker & Ellington already utilizes Richmond Alarm’s monitoring center.

Serving its local community for seven decades, Richmond Alarm currently has around 25,000 residential and commercial customers, according to the press release. The full service security provider also offers monitoring services through its TMA Five Diamond-certified central station, also located in Richmond.
